In the 1980s, Wynonna and her mother Naomi starred in the country music duo The Judds. They released seven albums with twenty-six chart topping singles. Fourteen of those tracks made their way up to become Number One hits. When the group split in 1991, Wynonna went on to enjoy success as a solo artist.

Despite the fact that it appears as if Ashley Judd plays the exact same character in all of her movies, her range as an actress is quite broad. She has played the victim in movies such as Kiss the Girls but also the romantic in movies such as Someone Like You. People magazine even named her one of their "25 Most Intriguing People" for 1999 and people have been interested ever since.
